Materials Manager

Responsibilities:
Manages and trains employees in the materials management department.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
The Materials Manager promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Directs inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage.
Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within timelines.
Maintains and ensures accuracy of the perpetual inventory system.
Works with HCHCA's departments to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
Oversees shipping and receiving functions related to purchased supplies Identifies opportunities to reduce shipping costs and charges.
Manages and monitors storage of purchased supplies Establishes procedures for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory.
Maintain in depth knowledge of GPO purchasing program and ensure optimal participation in GPO agreements to maximize price savings, rebates, group redistribution and commitments.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
Proficient with inventory reporting systems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and
Experience:
Associate's degree or higher in Business Administration or related field required.
Two years of experience in materials control field preferred Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
